Security Team Operations Dot Procedure

Port Said

RV Position (Port Said anchorage area)
Masters are requested to contact Port Said Port Control  on VHF Ch. 12/16 fifteen miles prior to arrival at Port Said limit line South of Lat. 31 28.7N in order to receive guidelines for a suitable anchor position.

Motor Launch
Our motor launch will attend the vessel at the anchor position given by SCA /Port Said Port Control.
Leth Egypt Agencies representative will be in contact with the vessel by VHF for proper confirmation of the approach/arrival of the motor launch ( in case required by the security party) otherwise while the vessel entering Suez Canal

Arrival Procedure (Not later than 72 hrs prior vessel arrival)

  1. Company procedures – following to be arranged:
    • An Authorization Letter is requested as an appointment of our agency to handle the weapons/ammunition in line with the concerned parties’ requirements.
    • A Declaration of weapons and ammunition existing on-board to be send to us as E-mail attachment (please see attached).
    • Vessel contact details including phone no., fax no., e-mail, etc … to be forwarded to us.
  2. Vessel’s procedures – information to be passed to us.
    • Master has to send voyage details i.e. vsl’s cargo, last port, destination, arrival draft and full details of the vessel’s transit agent including contact persons A.O.H.
    • Vessel’s transit agent should receive an e-mail or telex from master confirming that weapons and ammunition onboard, and state that Leth Egypt Agencies will attend to make the relevant arrangements as well as coordination with the concerned parties regarding this issue.
    • Master have to confirm that weapons and ammunition will be kept in closed box and will not be opened during transit under his full responsibility and attached declaration should be arranged as well and send same to Leth Egypt Agency in proper time before vessel arrival for best coordination with the concerning authorities accordingly.
    • Copy of the security companies licenses/crew list/copy of master passport should be attached with master declaration for best coordination with all concerning authorities

Port Suez

RV Position (Suez anchorage area)
Masters are requested to contact Suez Port Control on VHF Ch.14/16 fifteen miles prior to arrival at Port Suez arrival limit line North of latitude 29 48.33 N/ North of latitude 29 42.8 N (Subject to vessel’s type) in order to receive guidelines for a suitable anchor position.

Motor Launch
Our motor launch will attend the vessel at the anchor position given by SCA /Port Suez Port Control.
Leth Egypt Agencies representative will be in contact with the vessel by VHF for proper confirmation of the approach/arrival of the motor launch.
